Waywright helps you tailor your resume to job descriptions. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Account details: your username, name, and email address. Your password is stored only as a one-way hash.
- Resumes: the files you upload and the text we extract from them.
- Job descriptions you paste, and the tailored versions and edits you create from them.
- Technical data: IP address and request logs, used for security and to limit abuse.
How we use it
- To run the service: read your resume, generate tailored drafts, and create PDFs.
- To send account emails, such as verification and password-reset codes.
- To keep the service secure and prevent misuse.
We don’t sell your data, show ads, or use advertising or analytics trackers.
AI processing
To read your resume and write tailored drafts, the text of your resume and the job description is sent to a third-party AI model provider (currently Groq). It is used to produce your result, not to advertise to you.
Who else handles your data
We use cloud hosting, content delivery, and email providers to run the service. They process data only as needed to provide those services to us.
Storage in your browser
We store your sign-in session and theme preference in your browser’s local storage. We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account is active. To delete your account and everything in it, email [email protected] from the address on your account.
Security
Connections are encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and your resumes are accessible only from your account. No system is perfectly secure, so avoid uploading information you don’t want on your resume.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
